Spaceflight Simulator 2 — Current Status
Last updated: 2026-10-29
Spaceflight Simulator 2 is not fully playable yet. A free Graphics Demo has been on Steam since 27 October 2026, with hand-picked scenarios from orbit down to the surface and the full planet editor, but you still cannot build or fly rockets. There is no public beta and no confirmed release date; the full game is Steam wishlist-only. Confirmed so far: a full 3D sandbox, controllable astronauts with voice lines, 130+ building parts, real orbital and aerodynamic physics, reworked water with physical waves, axial tilt seasons and a physics-based flame system that also comes to SFS 1.
