SFS 1 vs SFS 2 — What's Different

Last updated: 2026-10-17

Spaceflight Simulator 2 is not released yet and has no confirmed release date. What is confirmed: SFS 2 moves from SFS 1's 2D building and flight to a full 3D sandbox, ships with 130+ building parts, adds controllable astronauts, uses real orbital and aerodynamic physics, and launches on mobile (free to play) and Steam (around $25–30) at the same time. SFS 1 blueprints cannot be loaded into SFS 2, because an SFS 2 craft is described in three dimensions. SFS 1 blueprint sharing on this site stays open and unchanged.
