Daedalus (Crewed Mars Lander) in early development

Developed by Project Vayuspace, Daedalus is a next-generation Crewed Mars Lander currently in the early stages of development. Designed to transport astronauts safely to the Martian surface and back to orbit, Daedalus is engineered for precision landings, long-duration surface operations, and reliable ascent in the challenging Martian environment. With a launch mass of 235.82 tonnes and 720 tonnes of total thrust (generated by three main engines producing 240 tonnes of thrust each), Daedalus delivers the performance required for powered descent, ascent, and orbital maneuvers around Mars. The spacecraft features a spacious crew module, autonomous guidance and navigation, reaction control thrusters, and a robust landing system optimized for Martian operations.
